What is a home inspection?

A home inspection is a professional, non-invasive, visual examination of the home's interior and exterior, and its various systems and components. It’s a great tool to have as a homeowner, whether it’s your first home or not. We spend a lot of time in our homes, so we want to make sure you know as much as possible about it. It can also help prepare you for things to watch out for in the future.

Inspections are done as an in-person walkthrough. Generally, this will take 2-3 hours, sometimes more or less according to the size, age, and condition of the house. It can be really helpful for the homeowner to come to the inspection, as it’s a great time to ask questions and learn more about the maintenance of house, municipal codes, etc.

I inspect all the structural elements and systems of the home, including:

• Roof and attic

• Foundation and crawlspace

• Walls

• Electrical

• Plumbing

• Heating and air conditioning
